Part of "90 Mile Beach". It's called 90 Mile Beach because cowboys - or the kiwi equivalent - used to horse ride down this beach. It took them 3 days and they figured they travelled 30 miles each day. It's more like 70 miles, but who's counting. You're able to drive down the beach but it's not covered by your insurance given the climate. There were cars stuck in the beach as they didn't know how to drive on soft/hard sand. It's also home of the Tasman Sea.

Wild horses run wild in this area too. We saw their prints, but sadly didn't see the horses. That would have been cool.
