This is a pic from Cape Reinga, allegedly the northern most point of New Zealand. You'll see the sea was getting pretty rough. We made it back to Paihia before the rain started falling at night again.It really was gorgeous though.
The funny thing about Cape Reinga is NZ realized they should pave the road up to the point from the main road. And common sense would lead one to believe they'd start at the bottom, where the roads are dirty, small and rough in places. No. They're starting at the TOP and working their way back down. I find that funny. Backwards!
