One of the many beaches from the Bay of Islands. Seriously, how could you not love this place? This was from the boat tour I took. All beaches in New Zealand are public beaches. Even if there's a house right in front of it. You can visit from dawn until dusk but no camping. Any house that's for sale on the islands, the government gets right of first refusal.
